"These are used in different ways, mostly offensive magic. I know how to use the 18 runes I was taught, but my favorite is 'Ansuz'. I would demonstrate here, but I don't think anyone would be too happy with me starting a fire. I can create and strengthen projectiles, set traps, lots of things. It takes time to cast a stronger spell, of course. This staff just serves as way to channel the runes and cut down on casting time," he pauses and laid his staff across his lap.
