[That's . . . a little explicit, although not very much so. She's too old for that to make her blush, but still she blinks, not used to someone saying something like that so directly.

Though that freckles comment makes her scoff. She hides hers beneath makeup, thank you.]


The ideal standard of beauty, [she says, sounding very much like she's quoting someone,] is for a woman to be pale, skin unblemished, with dark hair and no traces of makeup on her features.

I can't tell you how often my mother required me to bathe in milk to try and remove my freckles.

[But with her hair down and her pins gathered in her skirt, she adds with a sardonic smile:]

All that being said: your admiration is very much noted, The Iron Bull. And on that note . . . may I ask why it is you agreed to come here?
