I had a hard time following... [Silas is largely confused by the film as a concept, so the story confused him by merit of being distracted. The view from a camera is very confusing, only ever having seen live theatre or been read stories in books. He was too baffled by camera movements and basic film editing to pay attention to the story much.]

... only a cat died? The last play I saw had everybody die at the end. [the Springtide are not known for their romances]
