Gird your proverbial loins, Rin, a LOT of what Karkat says is oddly-worded, even profane. Creatively, prolifically so. And as for Rin, there's so much sincerity in that small smile that Karkat folds his arms, lest he do something like infect him with friendship.

He plans on doing this and getting the hell out of here. He's not here to make friends - though having one who is also interested in a subject so near and dear to his pump biscuit would really make this feel less like a stint in a weird prison.
