Yeah, that might be a lost cause Karkat. Rin tends to infect people with friendship a lot. Especially when they share one of his less-common interests with him. Those are the ones you friend immediately and hold onto for dear life.

"It's not that much shorter than yours," Rin says cheekily, "It's a really common name where I come from too. There's even another guy named Rin here right now." He's not going to specify that it's usually a girl's name though. But that grin of his gives away the fact that he has fangs that humans usually don't, as the tail might not be noticeable in the low light from the movie being played.

'Karkat' sounds like 'kitkat' which means that Rin will probably mistakenly call him that sometimes. And then introduce Karkat to kitkats if he ever gets the chance to, because kitkats are delicious.
