There's a certain definite familiarity with how you think of them that's hard to miss. Not all humans have that when they think of gods as a nebulous being they haven't met.

That's exactly the point with the statues. Humans want to be impressed with gods, so they make images of them that are larger than life. [Then, his brow wrinkled.] In your case, though - wouldn't it be impractical to sculpt something even close to their actual height?
