Steve pushed aside the annoyance and gave the man a real smile. At least he'd apologized, and it wasn't like Steve didn't understand the urge to get away from those annoying employees, "It's fine, really. Just seems like a lot of people today have had the same idea. And it's just Steve please."

He gladly shook the man's hand, amusement dancing in his eyes. The guy seemed to be fairly well-mannered, and Steve absolutely had a soft spot for people with English accents. A big soft spot, "Nice to meet you Charles. I don't suppose you go by Charlie?" Probably not. The guy looked a little too straitlaced to have a nickname, "I'm ok though, really. I don't mind helping out a fellow resident. No strings."
