"Oh, you are?" Eames asks with a rumble of a chuckle that rolls out of his chest with obvious amusement, delighted by the sass on clear display. If she had just laid down at his feet and admitted defeat, it would have been boring. "Be still, my trembling heart."
He deals with practised ease, one, two, three, four, but leaves his own cards untouched on the mattress in front of him.
"Of course we'll need something to bet on," he says, a thoughtful look in his eyes as he considers her. His tongue presses against the sharper edge of a canine as he waits for a moment, seeing if she'll suggests something, his lips quirking at the corners to a crooked little smirk.
Of course, he could suggest playing strip poker or something ridiculous like kisses, but that'd be crude. And quite uninteresting in the end. Maybe if he were less interested in her he would suggest something along that line of thinking. But the truth is that her low drawl and confidence has quite charmed him and he's already playing for the long haul.
"Were we in a bar," he stars with an amused tilt of his head and shrugs. "I'd say drinks but seeing the situation isn't exactly ideal for that, how about favours?" he asks while pulling an abandoned popcorn bowl closer them them. (The movie watchers obviously have had their fill with it.) "Let's say ten kernels for a minor favour and twenty-five for something a little bigger?"
