Charles is finding that there's a lot more to mentoring than just being there at the right moment. It's these moments that teach him more than anything, when he realises that he's gone too far.
"I'm sorry," he says with a small sigh and proceeds to pull Kurt aside from the hallway and into a quiet pathway that seems deserted by other people that were passing them by earlier.
"I should have made sure what you're comfortable sharing." He's still learning and there was absolutely no reason to go that deep into Kurt's mind. Kurt is definitely not a danger to anyone and he he should have been more courteous about it.
"I gleamed information about the future, not about you in particular. But I should have asked even about that first." He gives Kurt an apologetic smile. "I'd rather learn everything about you from you. If you... If you will be willing to gift me that privilege."
