"Instructors?" Derek repeats, shaking his head a bit as he huffs out an astonished breath. "You didn't look very shy up there."
The man's spot on guess takes Derek by surprise, but then he remembers the literal wolf ears he's currently sporting and he shakes his head with a laugh.
"No, I suppose these are a little on the nose," Derek says with a shy smile, reaching up to stroke one of the velvety ears. He debates with himself for a moment, and then shrugs. Here? Why not. "I'm a werewolf."
Derek watches the man so selflessly offer up his currency, and he's struck a little dumb by the gesture. It's been quite some time since anyone has done anything nice for him, and for a moment he doesn't know how to respond.
"Oh, um. I have some. I just got here and I've been trying to earn some where I can," Derek says, digging in his pockets to show off his own bronze pieces. "I'm not sure if this is enough."
