That's...actually really sad. Derek seems so nice, so unreservedly kind to a complete stranger. Barry feels like an ass disturbing his innocence, but he knows that Derek will be better off for it in the long run.

"It's not all bad," he promises. "Far from it. I've met some amazing people, and I wouldn't give that up for anything, it's just - we're not as safe as it sounded when we signed up." Barry smiles, trying not to look so grim.

"But I'll look out for you. We all take care of each other here."
