When the teen says they already know that, golden eyes narrow in consideration. Something was going on and he couldn't quite piece it together. When the younger indicated the door, Ed glanced over but then he was changing his train of thought mid-sentence. It was weird for him to be the one confused by some weird timeline business, but he was really going to need the kid to start explaining if he was going to follow along at all.

At the question Ed paused, glancing away again as he counted off the time in his head. "Hard to say, the dating system's pretty different here. A few months at least, three months on this island seems to be about the same as six back home... A bit longer than that by now, why?"

He didn't understand what this had to do with the conversation, weren't they talking about Sloth? Whatever, for now, he'd just try to keep up.
